I was SO excited to photograph Tessa and Kyle’s engagement session at the NC Museum of Art in Raleigh. Growing up my Dad would take us to the NC Museum of Art just about every year. I have fond memories of the museum and I have my Dad to thank for cultivating my interest in art. The NC Museum of Art holds a special place in Tessa and Kyle’s heart too. Kyle proposed to Tessa, one summer evening under the second ring in the park at the NC  Museum of Art.

It was important for them to photograph their engagement session at the Art Museum because it is a place where they have created a lot of happy memories together.  On the day of their engagement session, it was an unseasonably warm autumn day; just perfect weather really. The first thing that I noticed about Tessa and Kyle is their great chemistry. They were so playful together, it was fun to watch them interact. For their session, we just took a leisurely stroll around the park and stopped at certain locations that were meaningful to them.

I’m excited to photograph their wedding in February at the The Castle McCulloch in Jamestown, NC!
